Presentation at STS Italia in Bologna in Panel 12 ‘The interfaces that inform security knowledge and practice’.

For the end of the ERC Processing Citizenship project, we organised a conference in Bologna to share the results of our endeavours during two days of presentations, debates, dialogues, roundtables and break-outs. I organised this panel.

Presented the Processing Citizenship project together with Dr. Chiara Loschi in ‘Panel II - ERC Roundtable’ at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa.

Presentation at EASST 2022 in Madrid, Spain in Panel 45 Practices and politics of digitalization work and organization in STS.

Delivered a lecture together with Prof. Annalisa Pelizza at a summer school bringing together graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and beginning faculty interested in computational social science.

Presented first findings from my PhD fieldwork on the role of data quality mechanisms on socio-technical architectures, and data frictions in migration and border security. In track “Surveillance infrastructures or open platforms? Aid and control of vulnerable populations through digital data”.

Presented results from the semantic and computational analysis of ontologies of information systems used to identify and register migrants in Europe. In the panel “Theories and Concepts (1C)”.

Contributed to the PhD researchers’ panel on ‘Using methodology to build new briges’.

Presented work-in-progress article to STS MIGTEC academic research group.

Presented work-in-progress at a research meeting of the Department Science, Technology and Policy Studies (STEPS), University of Twente in a 30 minute presentation followed by questions and discussion.

Presented a method to extract ontologies for non-citizens identities from technical, legislative, and other types of documents at the EASST+4S virtual conference in the session “Digital Technologies in Policing and Security - Session 2”

This talk presented the first results of the semantic analysis of ontologies of information systems used to identify and register migrants in Europe.

I helped organzize workshops for an event dedicated to programming for the youth of Brussels.
